Welcome to the club my friend. This happened while I was in the hammock reading a book while on my AT hike. I was trapped in it for about twenty minutes. Did I mention I'm claustrophobic. Almost had to cut myself out because I was alone and couldn't reach the zipper....finally did after some serious contortions. Zero damage to the Dangerbird or me.

I do have more pcitures of the Hang and will make my own trip report, but I'm having some "issues" (to be polite) with the new Photobucket Beta, but I did succeed in loading these up.

Caveman and Space Weaseal decided to set up in the woods near the lake shore and were fairly close to each other. Here's a pic of the view from Caveman's hammock:

And here's the view from Spaceweaseal's hammock:

Yipes! Glad you are ok, SW. Maybe you can ask your Secret Santa for a hammock force field to protect you and your setup?

I just know I need to figure this whole thing out before the next hang. I am just so bummed out that I let this happen and destroyed something I waited so long to get. I have a ton of gear and way too many hammocks, but the RR and SD are my most prized pieces of gear that I have.
I know exactly what you mean about the RR and SD.Taken together they solve a host of problems. It's difficult to tell the extent of the damage from the photos but most things can be repaired. If not,I'd like to help as well.Let US know!Expatriot here-San Antone.

Thank you all for such generous offers.
I knew how great the people on here are but you all are just amazing.. The support that y'all are showing me just by letting me vent about my mistake is enough... I am not trying to be ungrateful but I really can not accept any money from any of you. The offer alone is heart warming and more then enough for me....

    Thank you

I'd be in for $10. I've easily gotten that much entertainment out of it.
