I think I have seen a Kelty sun tarp that isn't waterproof. Make sure you don't buy that.

The kelty noah tarp is a pretty big tarp. As such it takes up a bunch of extra space due to the size. Are you sure you need one this big? Especially if you are motorcycle camping.
I don't motorcycle camp, but this is actually a question I started looking at once I saw a YouTube vid and could see the size. But I am not sure that 9x9 gives me the coverage I want. I like the idea of having extra coverage during big rain days/nights (especially when I have the dog with me) and maybe the ability to close it in during winter nights. That along with my new underquilt may allow me to go 4 season camping. Or at least try it.
So I am still working that all out.

FYI
Kelty Noah tarps are on sale at Cabelas online right now. I just ordered a 9x9 for $39.95 which as about $10.00 cheaper then anywhere I could find.

I ordered a 12x12 Kelty Noah from Steep an Cheap a couple of years ago. $40.00, pretty good deal for a nice big tarp that covers both me and my boyfriend. Haven't gotten wet yet.
