We were a little worried at first how she would do during the trip and especially being alone in the "Pup Tent". We have taken her on short day hike and she has always done fine. We have also taken her car camping with a tent a couple times. she has always done fine. But she is the kind of dog that doesn't really like to be alone/away from us.
First of all the day before the trip I set up the tent inside our house and trained her with some treats to go into the tent and stay there. (she always loved our big tent and has no problems in her cage so this was easy). Also the 6 mile hike to the site wore her out. she kept trying to lay down and sleep once we got to camp. We didn't let her sleep though so she would be good and tired when we decided to go to sleep. Through the night she wined one because she really needed to pee (must have drank a lot of water after hiking). Also she became very restless around 4:30am but thats probably normal because during the week that when we get up.
All in all I would call it a success, but as we speak I am currently modding the suspension lines to see if I can make it hang a little better.

Not exactly sure how you constructed it, but is it possible to spread out the tie-outs a little wider? that would reduce how tall it sits and may fit better underneath your hammock.

well its about 18" high and needs to be so that my dog can stand up fully in it if she needs to. You can still fit it under the hammock, it just will be a little higher than the normal chair height.

Also here is the suspension mod I was talking about. it helps keep the sides from flapping around too much.
