Need a new hammock...which one?

Hey all, i think im going to sell WBBB hammock and get one that doesnt have a bug net. I dont really like it in the way all the time, i wanna cut some pack weight and i think i can live without it in the summer months. But my question is what hammock do you guys and gals recommend? I have been looking at either the WB traveler or the WL snipe hammock. Any suggestions?

grand trunk skeeter beeter is only 60 bucks and way roomier. just flip it over for no bug net. fantastic and dont feel bad when i cut into a 60 dollar hammock when i mod it.

they also have an ultralight w/o net for like 16 bucks

I soured on integrated bugnets last winter. I bought a Buttinasling Weight Weenie Double Layer and now I have a Weight Weenie Micro. I really love the 11-ft. length since it provides an excellent lay. I will never buy or make a hammock shorter than 10.5 feet after experiencing the joys of a longer hammock. No more calf pressure, and I sleep like a log. At 6.5 ounces, the WWM is light as a feather and easy to pack. In winter I can use the BIAS DL to toss a ccf pad in there to supplement my 20* UQ.

The WB Traveller is also light, but a little bit shorter as I recall.

I can't speak for the snipe but the light owl is great, huge comfy hammock that packs up pretty small (less pack space than my Eno somehow). Wilderness logics makes a great hammock. That said I have been looking at the weight weenies out of curiosity/being a gear hoarder, lots of good feed back for both around here.

The snipe is also 11 ft. x 58 inches wide; sounds like good dimensions for a good lay. There are some who think a good lay is more a function of length than width. I'm a believer in that maxim. However, I don't skimp on width. I kinda stick with 60" wide hammocks just 'cause that's what I'm used to.

You can save weight by reducing the width. I think BIAS sells a 52" wide Weight Weenie. It might save you an ounce or two.
