I think I have the addiction as well. Limited on time and funds... That makes it worse because then you fall into the DIY mode and that just never ends. I knew I had an addiction the other day. After a really bad day at work I just wanted to come home and lay in my hammock. It's like you go to a different place the moment you lift your feet off the ground.
Love my hammock and I love this place. You guys and gals rock!
My first hammock of my adult life was a GTUL, then called travel hammock. It is what led to my growing addiction. I still have like 4-5 of them and I have given several away to friends and family to introduce them to hammocking.
Addictions are bad? Who knew...
You can turn an addiction into a controlled hobby by letting one item go each time before getting something new. I tend to sell things on ebay or pass them on to one of my backpacking kids. I also use it as a secret weapon to keep the wife at bay. She sees things going out and never seems to have an issue with me getting something new. And, I you can hold her to the same standard(thatís the secret weapon part).
I feel like a crack head now that my house burned and I have to replace most of my gear. I have dropped way more money than I am used to spending and my cheapskate side is riding me very hard about it.
