Gatherings - where are you from?
Anyone in the DC area? I know of a couple but maybe if there are enough everyone can meet up for a weekend trip or a saturday hang out with gear.
I have one person that will show me what he uses but would like to see more options. I know there are no stores that carry this stuff yet so...

sounds like a plan to me...i live in L.A. ( lower alabama) dothan area..i do some hiking but mostly i canoe /camp
i'm near winston-salem, nc.
i do try to get up to mt rogers rec area at least a couple times a year.
