Got my first fall hang in last night. Joined up with my Scout troop yesterday afternoon. They'd actually started the trip the day before, but I had some all important Friday night football that couldn't be missed . Got my rig set up just in time for dinner. Had some great pork loin cooked on the grill, followed by some awesome blueberry cobbler in the dutch oven.
Here's my set up.
WBB 1.7 double layer with strap suspension
Hammock Gear 20 degree Incubator
Hammock Gear 20 degree burrow (sewn footbox, extra long/wide)
OES MacCat Ultra tarp with Whoopie Sling Ridge line (love not tying knots )
Thermorest sit pad (in case of CBS, didn't need it).
This was the first time I got to try out the burrow. I'm not sure what the low was exactly, but it was in the high 30's to low 40s. When I did check it, it was 41. I stayed nice and toasty all night long. Loved the burrow, actually didn't notice the snap at the top until I was packing it today. I'll definitely give it a try next time to hopefully keep from retucking it around me when I move. The incubator did slip around some at the shoulder area, but I just need to put some shock cord over the ridge line to keep it up.
All in all it was an awsome first hang for the fall of 2012. Can't wait to get back out, hopefully in a few weeks.
