Autumn is with us and mushrooms are out in abundance so I thought I would go on a foraging trip with my hammock in the woods and see what fungi I could find to cook and eat.

Here in the PNW, there are Morels and Chantrelles - probably much more, but that's all I know how to identify at the moment...
I think it would be great to combine a hike / overnight stay with a hunt for mushrooms...
Liked the whole thing,,, a shroom trip. thanks

Looks like a good time and some good eats!
Cheers
Looks like you had more succes then we did yesterday hunting for 'shrooms...
Recent rain and later on some night frost had most of the gathered fungi in a state of decay over here.
Thanks for sharing.

Down here in Texas, we typically see our Morels in the springtime around early April. I don't see a whole bunch in the winter. Puffballs are out in profusion. One thing I've been wanting to find is the chicken of the woods, but I haven't seen any in ages.
Reminder to folks interested in the Morels, don't have anything with alcohol in it three days before or after eating. They'll make you very sick.

I watched some of your other videos.. now I'm hungry! Thanks for sharing!
I'm gonna watch your video but thought I would share a pic I took on a hike a couple of months ago. From what I can find they are chicken of the woods. If I had known or knew for sire I would have harvested them.

Great looking meal. Nothing like fresh ingredients in the pan.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
Wow that was pretty cool I wish I knew more about mushroom foraging...
