The Great Hurricane Sandy Hammock Hang 2012

I am working at our Egg Harbor Twp. garage which is 7 miles inland from Atlantic City during Hurricane Sandy. So I'm going to be here awhile! So I am declaring this the 1st Hurricane (Sandy) Hammock Hang! Where are you hearty hammockers at?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1351528900.459633.jpg

Looks like you've got the basics covered, hope you're well stocked on water & food, stay safe. BTW, you're missing a great opportunity to test your tarp setup!

Nice! Yeah, it's a bit nicer inside. Okay, so there are two members of the Hurricane Hammock Hangers! Anybody else?

How strong is the wind? Are you going to be safe enough near those windows?

I'm hanging out in Virginia, indoors though. Sideways rain doesn't make good tarping weather apparently. As leaky as my apartment is around the windows and doors, it may as well be outside.

Gusting pretty good, 50-60 MPH, and landfall is coming closer, around 6 PM. The windows are pretty strong, double panes. We'll see what happens. Cool to see many people hanging through the storm.

Well, with the power and cable both on a tropical (storm) vacation, there's not much else to do besides hang with a good book....or tweak my camping gear.
