    Yup, if it's comfortable, you're fine. My wife sleeps pretty much completely horizontal to the hammock, but then she's short

    One way you could know for certain on your model which way they intended is to hang it relatively low, and attach the side tie-outs to something (even just a lawn chair for the purpose of this test). Now stand by the head end and look at the shape of the hammock -- you'll notice a definite longer side one way than the other. This is the asymmetrical cut that defines the shape of the "bed".
