    ENO slapstraps and SRL

I'm trying to make due with what I have right now which is a ENO DN with slap strap pro's. I've used it quite a bit for napping for a few years and the straps don't stretch much with me at 160 lbs. I'm trying to add a SRL to see how I like it. I've made one with 3mm accessory cord using a tautline hitch for adjustments. Should the SRL always be really tight or would it just be snug if I have the straps set just right?

it depends on the angle of your straps to the tree. the flatter the suspension lines are teh more Stress( read tighter) your SRL will be. If you get your suspension hung at 30* it should result in a tight but not guitar string tight SRL. hope this helps

Yeah thanks just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything. Plenty of trees here in SE Tennessee to get a good hang. Trying to find a flat spot to pitch a tent is another story.

Have to agree Tennessee is quite rocky and rooty. doesnt make for great ground dwelling. I always usta wake up with some kinda knot or crick in my back somewhere. now I sleep better than in my own bed!
