The stand you made is the "alamosa" style stand. The color is great, and Atleast your better half participates in your hobby. Oh and the stitching is amazingly straight...someone paid attention in home-ec...

Good looking lightweight rig. How are you going to backpack that stand though?
No tutorial/template. Just layed in the hammock and marked approximately where my feet/head were in relation to the hammock edges. Then put binder clips at those points and pulled the edges out while my wife layed in it. Pinned the zippered side and sewed. Then brought it back to the stand, repeated the process, pinned, and sewed.
As for the color, I'm lucky she didn't go for her first choice-- sunflower yellow.
