New Hammock Stand & Hammock w/ Zippered Bugnet!

I just finished a few projects and thought I'd share.

First is a hammock stand built from eight 2x4. I found a similar stand somewhere on the forum here and replicated it. So far it's working out well. Total cost was ~$50. My wife wanted to paint it so I gave her her choice of color.

Second is a 11'x5', channel end, 1.1, single layer hammock with zippered bugnet. Total weight including suspension is right at the 16 oz mark I believe.

I'm pretty happy with the way the hammock turned out. I already had the hammock body made so all I had to do was sew on a zipper to one side, take it out to the stand, throw the no-see-um over the ridgeline, pull out the sides, and pin.

    Thanks HF!

That stands looks really nice (even if your wife did pick the color...) I haven't really looked into the various plans for hammock stands and I'm curious, what is the dimension eyebolt-to-eyebolt on yours?

Dude, you've got some injector skills- the stitching looks perfect in that zipper shot! Great job!
