Three times hammock camping
Two hour drive
One person camping alone Friday night (me)
Spent the better part of the evening figuring out constellations with Google Sky drinking beer and keeping a pine cone fire going. Fell asleep looking at the stars in my hammock. Woke up in the middle of the night because my face is cold and could barely open my eyes because the stars were so bright. I was really drowsy but I smiled and was content. My eyes were crossed and I tried to make sense of what I was seeing but Cassiopeia had shifted in the sky and was no longer overhead. I hope I never have to use a tarp, open sky is one of the best parts!
Also discovered another benefit of camping alone...in a hammock...drunk... the hand-plant bathroom break x2. Snug as a bug.
