    GG Northern Light tarp

I'm linking to this not for the tarp especially, but because the side "snow flaps" are an interesting idea for a tarp. Maybe in tandem with some "doors"...?

I looked into making some ends for a tarp, then I found the Speer's Winter Tarp - no more looking.

Oh yeah, we've got the ends all covered now with the latest iteration of tarps. I was just interested in these side flaps, to go with the ends. I thought they looked interesting on this tarp.

That's something like I had intended to try w/ this tarp, but never got around to making the walls.

The walls were to be the full length of the tarp & maybe 3" wide. They could be used at different angles, slanting in or outward.

I still intend to try it... some day<G>.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

Yeah, I bet you can get some interesting shapes with it, as well as weatherproof/windproof coverage. Could be cool.

I'd like to see them. (And I'm sure they'd be pretty handy for you up there too.)

I'm bringing my hammock hut I think. Little bit bigger walls.

Now I see what you're talking about - I was missing the point. Sure, pile up a little snow and have a real tight shelter - just not too tight! (I get paranoid about winter ventilation!)
