The one with the animals is Sportsman's Warehouse (Piney Grove Rd),
the one we went to after Red Bowl was Academy Sports, we also went to The Backpacker and Mast General Store where I got my "Bug Beanie" and we got the groundhogs for a steal!

I really like Academy, it's a HUGE store. They opened a ****'s next to Target on Two Notch also.

I wasn't impressed with Academy. The ONE thing I wanted when I went in there, they didn't have.

Academy, I like, for the prices...but Sportsman's Warehouse definitely had more camping stuff and their prices were good. I bought my kayak paddle from there and it was about $20 less than anything ****'s had.

It happens that way sometimes! I went searching for mini 'biners, and d,i,c,k's didn't have any at all! I really try to get all of my gear from The Backpacker, if I can, they are really good folks in there - very knowledgeable about backpacking and climbing.

ha, mast offered me a job last we were there. a woman came in a wanted info on an ENO, and guess who happened to be standing there when the manager started to stumble in his sales pitch? this guy. turns out all she wanted was info but ended up getting a DN, atlas straps and another SN setup. manager said if i was to need a job im hired and gave me his card, lol. good times.
