Doc's is pretty tasty and they used to have bluegrass on the weekends and $1 can beers, but they haven't done that in a while... it may be a summer thing. If you want Chinese with sushi, I recommend Jasmine buffet on two notch - it's not half bad, we go there for lunch often. They also have a load-your-own-plate hibachi.

If you want BBQ, I recommend Little Pigs on Alpine Rd - pretty tasty also, but the pork isn't my favorite in Columbia (Palmetto Pig downtown is the best IMO)... Little Pigs has mustard based, ketchup based, and vinegar based pork. The sides are really good. Never been for dinner, but they are open until 9.

If we want BBQ, there is a Maurice's directly across from the park. I think I'll Google and see what else is in the area buffet wise.

Well, I know it's not terribly exciting, but there is a Cracker Barrel not that far away. Could seat a large group and lots to choose from on the menu. There is a Red Robin which have great burgers, but we probably would need to call ahead with such a large group to see if they could accommodate us. Well, that's probably the case with almost anywhere.

Maurice's=yellow BBQ!! During our stay either coming or going it's def. on the list whilst in SC.
Maurice's is OK for a sandwich, but I have to say that I'm not a fan. I like the mustard sauce and everything, it's just... meh.
Same with Red Robin - my brother loves it, but I'd just as soon go for 5 Guy's across the street! The desserts at RR are fantastic, though.
If you want a sit down, I'd recommend Texas Roadhouse or Olive Garden, and you may be able to call ahead. Both are usually pretty packed, but I've seen huge groups in both places. The prime rib at TRH is outstanding.

I'll bring an ammo can if we want to place a geocache in the park. There is a nice little area just off the trail right near the campsite that I think would be a nice place. Any trade items anyone wants to donate to the geocache, we'll put inside. The one we placed at Santee has been found several times and has gotten nice log responses from those who found it.
