    Hammock Gear customer service??

    My next purchase will a cuben tarp with doors. The HammockGear model was at the top of my list so I emailed them asking about some customizations (just like they suggest on their web site). It is going on two weeks and I have not heard a thing. I may have to consider my second choice if this is the service I can expect.

    Hey HangingOut, something doesn't sound right. Adam and Jenny are usually really diligent on their email. There is a chance that your email was missed or is getting spammed. I would try giving them a call. They have been corresponding back and forth with me this week.

    I've had that happen too, just send the email, and then chase it after a few days with a phone call. They are superawesome people and welcome the conversations / voicemails. Keep it friendly and calm, even though you are anxious for gear. I've stuck almost exclusively with HG and will continue to do so, even with emails slipping through the cracks.

    I've had Adam and Jenny on speed dial for years ....They offer excellent product and great customer service. Their so good they just get bogged down every now and again so sometimes you just have to keep after them. It's well worth it IMHO.

    it works. I just used it to initiate a convo about some rework (not their fault) ...andd some new winter quilts for me and the lady.

    Ive had to send a reminder email I think once but thats not bad considering it two people handling orders.

    You can expect some nice quilts/tarps....endless attention to custom needs. Sometimes a friendly phone call about your order. Often a status update on your order if you need it. Patience in your learning experiece and mountain of questions that youre gonna have about material, suspension, weight, tarp options, cat cuts..temp ratings etc etc. And if you do ever have an issue you can expect a quick fix and a kind appology. Not to shabby in my opnion.

    4 quilts, 1 Tarp, and about to order 4 more quilts....and I am.just one of many.

    Happens sometimes that something falls through (has happened to me as well). Always seems best to me to follow up soon after. Considering the amount of correspondence they are trying to wade through daily, a hiccup here and there can be expected but not be determination around their customer service.
