'Classic.' A book which people praise and don't read.” ― Mark Twain
Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.
There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet. But, I use my empty backpack as a foot pad by placing it underneath my feet on a cold night. It works great.

+1 on the hot foot side, I can't stand to have hot sweatty feet, socks come off, I would rather feel a chill on my toes...
Boo hoo all you hot foot people. I do not sympathize.
I have cold feet too. Poor circulation I guess. Down booties are the best and you can make your own. I also find it helps to put on dry socks before bed. In fact I sometimes will tuck my socks in my shirt to warm them up.
Some say I'm apathetic, but I don't care. - Randy
whats funny is i didnt realize that socks would actually make my feet cold. ive always just kept the socks i had on on in the hammock. maybe ill try a night without (and bring a spare set of socks.)
anyway, my caveat is that i probably wont be hanging in the cold that much so buying down booties seem a bit, excessive....
Give a man fire and he's warm for the night.
Set a man on fire and he's warm for the rest of his life. Dante
I've got fleece socks my girlfriend's mother makes. keep me toasty! Just be careful around fire, though they light up quick..Almost burned my toe when a sparked landed on it once..and then had a nice hole for all the cold air to enter..
Check out the Sticky about hot water bottles on the General Hammock forum.
Toasty toes to you all, and to all a good night!
