I have some bulk 1" polyester webbing that is black and rated to 4500 lbs. It's a bit thicker than "normal" straps, but I can confirm that it works just fine with a marlin spike hitch. The weight is approximately 0.5oz per foot.
I have approx 280' of it.
I'll do the whole shablang for $70 shipped or sell it at .40 cents a foot shipped with a min of 20'
