Mine is currently pretty small piece of tyvek, about 18x24, but I think I am going to increase it now. The reason being, I will not be carrying a pad any longer, so in the event of an equipment failure or lack of trees forces me to ground, I think I need one big enough to lay my hammock on top of now? Thoughts on that?

40x96 inches, although I may fold it up a bit depending on the situation. Can also serve as a ground sheet in case if have to go to ground in an unexpected circumstance.

1.5 ounces each and available in a 2 pack from Gossamer Gear.

Is it durable? Hopefully not that super flimsy painters plastic that is thin as Saran Wrap...

The one I have is 72"x30". Works for me as I have put gear on the upper and lower most portions to keep off the ground.

Yah, the Gossamer Gear sheets are plenty durable. They're primarily used as groundsheets by bivy users underneath a tarp. It won't last forever, but I expect to get a good season's use out of just one. It feels pretty solid.

The polycro sheets are basically the same material as window film at Home Depot/Lowes.
    2'x3' for me.
