Hello Hammock Forums. I'm in California and very much excited to get into hammocking.
I sold all my backpacking gear years ago and went headlong into car camping with the wife and kids. Kids are teenagers now and have no interest in backpacking, and my wife is only into dayhikes.
soooooooooo.... it looks like soloing is built for me...

I've been tracking the Alpine Hammock for a long time. I found their site the day after the money drive ended. Anyway, I am hammockless, packless, stoveless, sleeping matless, and most other things.

I've got some shopping to do....

I have a stove you can have. A while ago i watched a youtube video of the bud light aluminium bottle stove so I went and bought a 15 pack and made a dozen of them. They work great. And they last. Except mine are made out of the Olympic budweiser bottle rather than the bud light bottle so its way cooler. Let me know if you want it. I can either mail it to you, or on Dec 2nd I work up in Atascadero. I think that's pretty close to paso and I can bring it with me?

That would be AWESOME!! Atascadero is just a stone's throw down 101 from me. We can definitely meet up. What do you do for a living that drags you from SoCal to A-Town?

I'm an auctioneer. I work for an auction company up there called the 777 auction co. Its right off the 101 at the old ford lot. In down town atascadero. The auction starts at 9am so if you want to meet up before that. ill get there around 8am. I have a few things laying around that I have extra that you'll like to go along with the stove. It will be a good start to a no cost starter kit.
