GoLite TQ

Any thoughts and/or opinions from those that have used a GoLite TQ?

I'm thinking about getting one...yes, I know it's only "rated" to 40 degrees. Should be enough for most of the weather here in SC...can always find a way to take a few degrees colder...

Mines been to the mid 20's, the new 1 season quilts are closer to a 3 season.

I bought one when this sale (with the free shipping) started and I love it! I'm actually planning on picking another one up for my daughter.

Can't speak to the top quilt itself but as far as making it go colder: an extra pair of flannel pants and a thin down jacket have me **** near sweating in low 30's under a 40 degree down bag being used as a TQ. FYI I am lying in said hammock in said temps as I right this. my rule of thumb if I dress to be comfy just standing around outside then get under my 40 down bag I should be golden. Also Never under estimate the power of a warm hat .hope it helps.

The price, etc. was what made me take a harder look at this TQ. After the above responses, I just pulled the trigger!

No more wrestling with a sleeping bag...

Any other thoughts, opinions, etc. are definitely welcome...may continue to make my wallet feel a little better after the spontaneous purchase...dang this addiction!

I have the same quilt I bought several months ago but it hasn't been cold enough here in FL to try it out.

You can knock a little more off the price by doing a review of some golite gear. Put a review on their website and they send you a discount code good for another 20% off (I'm assuming the program is still on going). When I bought my quilt I believe they were 50% off then another 20% with the coupon and free shipping. So overall about the same price as now.
