Details on how you are loosing the weight? I'm finding that sitting in the lazy boy and snacking on jalapeño cheddar Cheetos is not working for me, even using diet sodas

I have a saying “you want to lose weight…stop feedin yo face”.

It truly is that simple, calories in vs calories burned. You take in more than you can burn in a day you will gain weight.

Any report on longevity of the 1.1 oz fabric hikingdad? I'm curious as I'm in the 240's right now and am very intrigued by the idea of being able to use such a lightweight fabric in single layer.

Darien UL for us Fat guys?

I have been using a single layer 11' ACU digital camo 1.0/1 rip stop hammock for the last year. I have seen one or two stretch marks in the fabric but other than that it is holding up well. I do feel it does stretch a little when getting but I also feel that is what makes it a little more comfortable. This is my go to hammock even above a wbbb. I should also add that I am 5'9" and 190ish.

Thanks for the info! Although I am curious(and I realize you can't help me with this) about long term performance with guys around hikingdad and my weight.

Yeah sorry I can't help you there. Though I have had my son and I in there at the same time. I am about 190 he is about 60. So we have had around 250 in there a couple of times. It seemed not to stretch significantly more than when just myself. Though I also can not give you any real long term results in that.

I'm 5'7", 265lbs and I rotate through many different hammocks made of various fabrics almost every night in the workshop.

I have hung many nights in SL 1.1oz hammocks, but have yet to get a good nights sleep in such a light stretchy fabric. Way too stretchy/springy for me.

The lightest fabric I feel decently comfortable with is a 70d Nylon Taffeta (actual weight around 1.69oz)

An even better choice (for my weight and preferences) is a 1.8oz Polyester Taffeta. I've always had good nights with this fabric.

When I'm not testing hammocks in the workshop, my regular everyday sleeper is a SL 2.3oz Poly/Nylon Blend in Woodland Camo.
