I always inspect before I commit. I seem to find a ton of awesome deals. You just have to know what you want before you go in. I will keep the "fire sale" thing in mind next time. May have to wonder around longer

OSPREY has a lifetime guarantee. i got my exos 46 for 9.83 it had a broken frame. $9 to mail it and i have a almost perfect pack. i also got a black diamond oasis tent for 30 and when i called to ask how to fix a sticky rain fly they sent me a new one.
My local REI no longer has garage sale events, they simple add a few items at a time.
