Thank you much. The thread I was looking for was indeed the one that Red provided the link to. Has anyone else made these other than Rawhide?
I haven't needed any as I don't have an integrated bug net on my hammock, but if I ever do have one Ill go this route or possibly a large continuous loop with two prusik's on it. I believe that is a Hangnout design.

Regarding the concern about abrasion on the bugnet: couldn't you just either put a piece of tape where the thing goes across, or sew a couple of cm of webbing onto the bugnet there?
