Made this this weekend, as I like Bankline way better than Paracord in the woods. Used a bead from an old set of Ranger Pacecounter Beads instead of a lock knot. My kids all wanted them, too! Bankline works way better for traps and snares, lashing sticks together, and you can carry a lot more of it for the same weight. Fun to make!

Maybe. People seem to like it. I only have 8 skull beads left, but can get more easily. I may get other types of beads as well. I have about 500 ft of Bankline, but a lot if other types and colors of cordage. Could make some cool ones! Maybe I will make-up some NEHHA bracelets for the hang if I have time. They sell beads with letters. Hhmmmmm...

    Thanks!

    Nice work!

That's the first I've ever heard of Bankline. What are its benefits vs paracord?

===>. They both have their places. Bankline (tarred-feels like waxed) is waterproof, does not stretch or shrink (great for snares and traps, and tying sticks together); makes a great ridge line for a tarp or hammock. Does not get tangled like the inner strands of Paracord does. Holds knots a heck of a lot better- they don't slip. It is a smaller diameter, and you can carry way more for the same weight.

Paracord inner strands can suture cuts, and makes a better supple fishing line. Bankline works for trot line rigs and anchored decoys.

    I carry both.

===> I pulled these off an old set of Ranger Pacecounting Beads. You can get them online from several sites, just the beads, or the Pacecounters.
