ok maybe I won't snap it! LOL I guess I didn't realize the strenghth of it. For my size I don't think I'd go below 1/8" but even that is smaller than paracord, and I usually carry about 100' of that. Thanks mike

Paracord is only 550# ... and that's if you get the good stuff!

Those are actually about the lightest load straps that you can buy! Most folks hang in straps rated from 1500# - 2000#.
Being a gram weenie, I hang on 900# straps but most people think I'm crazy anyway.

Don't hang any flatter than 30* with those straps!

i plan on shooting for 30* everytime, being big, i'll strive for that as the stresses really multiply the shallower the hang gets. i've learned to know my limits! lol
the thumb rule will be a big help!
