    Gear Ties/Wraps?

First of all...hope I got the right forum to put this in...if not, please feel free to move the thread. Thanks mods!

I'm looking for recommendations on gear wraps to hold my pads, reflectix, etc to keep them from unrolling. I'm thinking ties like these: http://www.batteryjunction.com/nitei...8-2pk-opt.html or just some Velcro strips...what do you all use? Thanks!

I was actually going to suggest those. The only problem I see with them, is if your gear is not rolled small enough, then those might not fit. I haven't used them, but i'm sure they will work fine. You could also use them to hang stuff from your ridgeline.

They make them (Nite Ize gear ties) in different lengths up to 32". Regardless of what I end up using, I will roll the pads up nice & tight, then measure the circumference + a little extra.

I usually use a piece of paracord to tie gear up tight. Then you have some to tie gear to the tree or suspension while in the woods. Or make minor repairs in the field.

I've used something similar to these Tarp Bungees http://www.tarpaflex.com/acatalog/ball-bungees.html

However, they are easy to DIY too

Paracord and ranger bands. Other than duct tape, I wasn't aware there were other materials!

i use 1/8" shock cord to make gear wraps.
just cut it to length and tie a doub. fisherman's knot and you're good to go.
