I have about a half of cord of Oak wood in the backyard right now, but no way to transport it since I am taking the Jeep Wrangler down there.

SC (I think) has some law about transporting out of state firewood into SC state parks.

No problem, but anyone can drop by the local Walmart and bring some Giant Tootsie rolls (Duraflame) to the hang, they are very helpful.

Not a bad idea Gladius. I'll kick in 40 and that way we have a full load. And a nice bonfire. So long as you don't start tossing stuff on or in it.

I'm new to the group and to hammocking but I live in Columbia and I'd like to come out. I won't be able to stay though. Is there a schedule of "events"?

Some are getting there Thursday, some on Friday. Some are just coming for the day Saturday. I don't know that there's a set "schedule," but I think we're gonna try to do the raffle at around 5:00. Prior to that (I believe) we'll have kind of an all-day "gear swap meet."

After the raffle will the be pot luck.

We have been tossing around if I am brave enough, coming Friday myself with my son. We could stay the whole weekend and my hubby would come for the day Sat. I am unfamiliar with Columbia and Sesqui, so I appreciate the pics of where to go ahhhgladius. Do we park in the main parking lot, and how far is the main parking lot to the campsite?
