Re: SC Fall Sprawl 2013, Sesquicentennial State Park, Columbia SC Sept 20-22

Guys, I was really upset when Santee messed up our reservation. At first, I didn't want it to move to Sesqui because I wanted the lake and to relive all those fun things we did last year out there. However, when I stopped to realize what I felt was most important, it was being with all of you...my closest friends. Then, I began focusing on where would we have the most fun as a group. We needed a place where we could all camp close and have a big area for our campfire time. Those of us who have camped at Sesqui, know that the site is awesome for large groups. We won't have the lake, but we will have each other, the raffle, the food, the fun and the memories. We already have plans to secure Santee for next year's FS and a plan to ensure that a similar problem won't happen again. Thanks everyone for being flexible and understanding as to why the location had to be changed. See y'all next week! I can't wait!!!!!!
    Just me being me

To reiterate what JBD said, aside from they kayaking (and Baja, I understand your position, I prefer Santee too! This isnt towards you) which will be different, nothing else is going to change.

We will still have an awesome group
The raffle will still be Nuts...
Biking/hiking/doing nothing will still be going on
Mass hammock camping (now in an area that should be all to ourselves) will still be happening!

Theres only 2 changes: we moved the lake...lol
and Friday night well be able to indulge in some amazing BBQ!!!

It is a Fall Sprawl. There's really no telling. It might get dirty. It may also capture some truly inspiring human moments.
It may also just be Gresh figuring his new camera.

I was wondering if it would be alright to bring a gas smoker to set up on the outskirts of the primitive area on Sat? My husband was thinking of smoking some Bacon Explosions for the potluck. I hope y'all like bacon

Hell yes!!! by all means, yes!!! You can park it right next to my hang. I'll watch over it like a father over his child. That' he's about to eat? Bad analogy. Yes bring, please for the love of God and all things wonderful in this marvelous world, BRING. Forget the outskirts though. Bring it right up in the camp. We'll name him Smokey, and he will be a new friend. We will treat him with kindness and love and dignity.
