Terrific trip and report. Trooper looks like a great candidate for Boy Scouts and Dad could be become Scout leader !

I was an assistant scout master for the last 5 yrs. and was recently put in as a cub master. Trooper is a bear already. Scouts are fun, they give us an excuse to get out into the woods. But honestly, we would go anyway

Wow! What an experience for both of you. You are right, photos and videos are so user friendly, you and Trooper will get to re-live these axperiences the rest of your lives. You are fortunate to have so many outdoor resources, so close. Idaho is an amazing place.
We are now ready to start our way down the Great Unknown. We are three quarters of a mile in the depth of the earth. We have an unknown distance yet to run, an unknow river yet to explore. What falls there are, we know not; what rocks beset the channel, we know not; what walls rise over the river, we know not. Ah, well! We may conjecture many things. The men talk as cheerfully as ever; jests are bandied about freely this morning; but to me the cheer is somber and the jests are ghastly. Powell 1869
