Still new to hanging world, I have not slept in the Cold snow yet. But, While sipping my Hot coffee. Had a Wonder? Thought.

Has anyone tried? taking those Indoor/Outdoor wireless Temperature gauges?. Placed the main unit, on ridge line.. ( for easy viewing). Linky: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Accurite-D...meter/16888916
I have one Similar to this mounted inside my truck, and remote unit under front Lic plate. $9 bucks is cheap, but nice to know when It's Freezing and roads are getting icy.

Now, this is the part that will create data to how temperatures change during a hang.

Take the Remote unit. Place it between the UQ & hammock. Watch the Readings. Then move it around, either up layers.. Or around. For getting a Idea on your Heat Readings.. Finding the hot spots, and or cold spots? ETC..
Then just added insulation to the cold spots.. based on temps?.

Dunno??.. Maybe the coffee was tainted.. and I am over thinking this Idea :-)

But just had to ask.. Or just created, a new fancy cheap idea for DIY testers while Swinging in the breeze.
