VIDEO: Solo overnighter, first sock use

Spent Saturday Nov 3 out at Miquelon Lake. There was a freezing rain warning and 100% humidity but the temps were pretty good; it hit -5c or 23f through the night and we never did get ant rain where I was. It was my first use of the Warbonnet Travel Sock and I must say I was impressed. The temps stayed nice and warm inside the blackbird. In the morning I had a fair amount of moisture on the sock, so I may have had it too secure for the temperature. I think next time I'll keep it open a bit.
This is my report on the one nighter...

Thanks HK. Looks like a good rig. Lots of view with the zip open, and a nice view as well.

    Thanks for reporting.
I think socks have really made an impact on the versatility and comfort of hammocking.

Thanks for sharing your Winter set up. Looks like it's working well for you. Great fire side music as well.

    Great video.

Colour me green with envy that you've got snow on the ground in your area.

I noticed that you put your tarp up before you installed your underquilt and sock. Unless it is raining, I put up my tarp last so that I have easier access to installing underquilts and any other accessories.

Have fun this winter with your hammock adventures.

    Cheers

    Brian

Normally I would wait to put the tarp up but it looked like it could start raining at anytime so I threw it up just for protection. I'm too tall to be hunched over under the trap while setting up!!
