I hang and camp out mostly from my vehicles; motorcycle, truck or canoe. I'm getting too old to be throwing that pack on my back and hiking for miles. So I could care less about the weight. To me the webbing and buckles is the best way. Easy, foolproof, versatility, and way less hassle. especially when the whoopie sling gets jammed and doesn't want to release.

    Which Warbonnet Suspension?

I changed my BB suspension to Dutch continuous loops and whoopie hooks. I went back to the buckles because I just find them more versatile. I use a Dutch Biner to attach the loop on the hammock to the loop on the buckles. This allows me to pack wet or sappy straps separate from the hammock and also allows me to use whoopie hooks and huggers if I want

Webbing and buckles get easier to use each time out.

I have went back to buckles on all my suspensions. They are just so much easier to use all the way around, I gave up trying to shave an ounce here or there for no real good reason. Truth is I could care less if my pack weight is 17# or 19#, give me the easy buckles, the cloudburst over a cuben tarp, the riderunner with stock poles instead of using hiking poles, etc. I carry very few luxury items so the extra pound is negligible. FWIW, I also got rid of most of my UL packs and got a custom pack built by Dan McHale, amazing that a heavier pack built right with more weight feels significantly lighter and rides better than a UL pack with no no frame that does not distribute pack weight properly.
