Is it just me, or does it look like the tarp is just going to sag once wet, and pour water in through the hole? He didn't seal is, and the fabric looked very loose.

Interesting concept, but I don't think it'll work like he thinks once he tries it in a heavier rain.

It's nice to think out of the box sometimes...

...but he seems to have found a solution to a problem that didn't exist, except maybe in his head.

I knew a guy who talked like that. It took me several weeks to realize that he was amazingly smart. This guy does a lot of things right, and he's very good at explaining what he's doing. It's just a partial solution to what may, in fact, be a real problem for some. I remember stringing a tarp over a campfire to cook supper once and needing to step out into the rain every now and then to get a breath of fresh air.

This guy doesn't seem to worry about pack weight much, but maybe he's better at leaving things he doesn't need at home than most of us.

Scouting comes to mind, when it comes to this idea. I've seen Scout Masters come up with some outrageous ideas for cooking.

    Bonepile-

Great video and thank you for taking the time to put it together, it is greatly appreciated.
Although, this idea may not be for some but for others and myself it truly gives us new ideas and helps us think outside the box.

    Thanks again Sir-

I've seen a few of this guys videos. He certainly is an "out of the box" thinker, although sometimes I'm just waiting for him to get injured. I'd love to sit around a camp fire with this guy and listen to some of the stories I'm sure he has though.

I would have to agree, I am sure he has some good stories to tell. The video was entertaining.
