    It was bound to happen...

I fell down and went BOOM

My turtle Lady Hammock Stand collapsed on me. I don't think I laughed so hard in my life. To add insult to my injured pride, I got tangled in my ridge line and my dogs decided to take advantage of the situation and started dog piling on top of me. It was all fun and games right up to the point the other stand came down on top of us.

Happens to the best of us. Good to be able to laugh it off. At least you have a new Winter project.

I don't know about alright, but at least uninjured.

Yeah, converting the turtlelady stand to a turtledog stand. I'll be picking up the hardware this weekend.

How'd it fail? I have a TurtleLady stand and wouldn't mind avoiding a collapse.

    Glad you're all right!

I hung my Hydration pack of one of the legs, then I I hung my quilts that were stored in their mesh bags on the same side. Not taking in consideration that all that weight would pull the stand at the head of the hammock down, the stand at my head topple over. The stand at my feet was then subjected to me trying to untangle myself while two dogs decided to play tackle the goof ball wrapped in the hammock. It was quite funny really. Thankfully I was only 12" off the ground and just happened to have a sleeping pad situated under the hammock.
After getting everything back in place one of the polls had slipped through the lashing.

Two kinds of hammock hangers--those who have fallen and those who are going to! Glad you're alright and no harm done.
