That isa nice set up! I just put it on the ground beneath the hammock or if weather is fine hang it from another tree or line
I added some lengths of thin rope to the center/ends of my pack cover. It gets hung under my hammock and pack and unused gear lives there.
I have not been out too many times with my hammock, but when I have been my bag hangs from a tree, either one that I am hanging from or another near by. A few wraps of rope and a carabiner make a great spot to hang anything from a tree.
I've always brought something to put pack, etc. on under the hammock. Truth is, though, unless I'm hanging where tenters normally camp, its no issue to simply put directly on the ground underneath.
Sleeping ... my pack is pretty much empty .. foods hanging .. stoves out for breakfast .. extra clothes are my pillow .. so it really depends on weather .. I'll leave it on a rock, branch, ground, in fair weather .. raining hard .. hanging high and dry .. freezing cold .. under my feet ..

I alway spread a tarp under my hammock at night. I set all my gear on it under the hammock along with my camp shoes so when I get up in the middle of the night......
On ground under hammock. Never a problem.
