WB should have named it the "Hyperbaric Chamber"...

Well, decided to sleep out back last night. Got down to about 8 deg farenheit. Problem was, I'd really tweaked my bad shoulder, and have not been able to sleep for more than about 1/2 hour at a time in my bed (chiropractic) for the last week.

Rigged up the hammock with the lynx 3 season, a thermarest ridgerest between the double layers and my montbell bag. Jumped into the RidgeRunner at 10:00pm, shoulder aching away, had a tea, and read for a few minutes before shutting down. Was awoke by the family at 8:40am this morning, banging on the window to see if I was still alive.

I don't know what Brandon sews into this thing that makes me sleep so well, but I woke up this morning, shoulder pain gone, and had to go for a little walk in the woods first thing as I had so much energy.

Kudos to Warbonnet, and for anyone standing on the edge trying to decide if they want to buy a RidgeRunner, I say take the plunge

    Cheers

I just purchased one and second this. The RidgeRunner (and Brandon/Warbonnet) are fantastic.

Absolutely! Nothing but awesome customer service from Brandon over the last couple of years.

I'm sure you'll love it Free-Range! Took very little tweaking to find the sweet spot on mine, and now that it's dialed in, I just don't seem to reach for my other hammocks anymore.

Hi Hairbear, no tarp last night. I have an open air porch with beams and I just rigged up under it and looked out at the sky. Great night! I find the comfort level of this hammock to be the best I've tried. Had a nasty car wreck in my youth, tore me up good, and this hammock somehow makes the back feel like new! Definitely worth packing a few extra ounces for me to get this level of quality sleep. And with the hiking pole mod, the RidgeRunner comes in right about the same weight as my blackbird.

    Cheers

Couldn't agree more, best hammock I have had so far without question! I'll carry a couple ounces more for such a restful nights sleep any day, makes hiking the next day so much better
