Finally moved a hammock up into the bedroom. I've been hanging full time in the workshop for quite some time, but never liked being completely separated from Mrs Smurf and the rest of the family.

Our 100 year old farm house is built using 3.5" x 5.5" oak studs so finding a suitable anchor point was not a problem at all. I purchased these cargo tie down anchors and 3.5" long lag bolts from my local Tractor Supply.

Our bedroom is only 104" wide, wall to wall, but since I normally sleep in a 10ft x 60" hammock anyway, this was not a problem at all since my hammock measured 102" gather to gather. I jumped on the hammock hang calculator over at The Ultimate Hang to determine the height for installing the anchors (48" in this case). I mounted the foot end 4.5" higher than the head end. I may hang another anchor on the next stud that would allow me to hang a longer hammock at an angle, but we'll see.

The hammock is a 10ft x 60" single layer of the 2.3oz Poly/Nylon Blend in Woodland Camo and works perfectly for my 265lbs.
No ridgeline or ridgeline organizer, but I'm considering hanging something up just to hold my phone/alarm clock.
Even indoors, I need an underquilt and this one is equipped with my 40*F Zeppelin from unergroundquilts.com

Very nice. I love hammys with no RL.
What about sewing your RL organizer to the side of the hammock right by your head?
On the outside of course.
Then it's handy and you aren't bumping into it everytime you get in or out of the hammy.

Yea, maybe that's what I'll do. I can leave a hole for my phone charger cable and just "plug-in" every night.
In the workshop, We've got a big LED clock with 4" numbers and a remote control. I always kept the remote in my ridgeline organizer so I could just keep hitting the snooze until Mrs. Smurf yelled at me to get up.

Make a "night stand" small gear hammy for your phone and stuff...

Also...never thought to hang indoors without whoopies.

Also, Have never used the Ultimate Hang app (although I have it),
so perfect for this situation

You might need a redirect on that heat outlet. I have to do that where my 24/ setup is.
