my personal preference is SRS for hammock using 7/64 amsteel and ring. Whoopies would be a strong second. With the SRS suspension, if you have to hang with small distance between trees its possible. However, your going to get a 100 different answers to your question cause its all personal preference.

No perfect suspension. Each has its own merits based on:
- Preference (what works for each person and their fingers)
- Weight
- Minimum distance needed
Generally, something with full straps and buckles is the simplest to start with - like the Warbonnet strap suspension. Then, over time, one can experiment with whoopie slings, other buckles, etc. etc.

98% individual preference. Everyone will have an opinion but best is subjective to your use and point of view.

Anything that works is good. I prefer webbing and cinch buckles. For me it's the easiest and quickest. Some would say it is heavier than other systems but I happily carry them.

As Breyman stated, there are a lot of factors to consider. Here is my take:
The stock suspension that came with my GT and ENO hammocks was NOT the "best" in any category except maybe "heaviest". I promptly did research (Ok...I really mean lazily typed in "How to hang a hammock" in Google.) and spent countless hours watching videos, reading web sites, and discovering Hammock Forums. I concluded based on my intense research that Whoppies/Tree Straps were the "best" and then spent more hours researching How To sites and then ordering DIY supplies and making a few sets.
Fast forward to today....after several backyard hangs and multi day trips, I have concluded that I would like to try Cinch Buckles. I don't care about a few grams, and really want something simple as my kids love to lounge (e.g. swing and wrestle) in the hammock when we go to parks to play for a couple hours. Check my avatar.
Long way winded way of saying...try 'em all. Just err on the side of safety.

Agreed...just personal preference with the exception of ENO Slapstraps. They have a lot of stretch and are generally regarded as terrible.
As fun as it is to experiment with a SLS system (I once hung 32' between trees at only 6'-8" up and will continue to improve my suspension), the strap and buckle suspension from Warbonnet is very easy and whoopie slings the lightest ... if you can find trees 12-15 feet apart.
I'm relatively new to this so hope that you will read throughly.

It is all preference:
Sgt. Rock is so worried about individual grams that he uses UCRs instead of Whoopies.
If I were backpacking (which I never seem to do) I would use whoopies/toggles and tree straps.
If I exclusively car camped, I would use strap suspension of some sort, as it's easy.
Oh: and no matter what, I'd use Dutch Ti Clips.
