Gear setup for 2 or 3 day hikes

I am having a hard time finding a checklist or pack list of things to bring on a 2 to 3 day hike.

Like type of clothing etc. I saw fronkeys pack list but im new to this stuff.

Just ordered the Circuit backpack too.

Can a sticky be created to link to all of them?

Let me offer you what works for ME-you may be different, but, this has always worked for me.
First, let me state-I dont go with underwear when hiking. There simply isnt any need. So, that rules that out.
I pack 2 sets of clothing-one to hike in, and one to lounge in. Hiking generates sweat, at any time of the year. Even with modern clothing, you will still get wet from sweat. And, when done hiking for the day, COMFORT is paramount. So, I pack an extra shirt, a pair of pants, for camp. No matter how long I go for. As for outerwear, I will pack according to weather-an insulating layer, and a weatherproof layer. I do this for UPPER BODY ONLY though. I have tried hiking in rain pants, and cannot do it. I may have them for camp, but wouldnt hike in them.
So, to sum up-take a single set of clothing to change into. Then, your inclement weather gear. And, a few pairs of socks-its always nice to put new socks on

Congrats on the circuit sir.... You will love it... Not too big, but plenty of room...

Two things I always pack to much of. Food and extra clothes. I'm down to bringing just an extra shirt and A pair socks for my 3 day trips. Commando is the way to go.

Gear doesn't generally change to much while regarding length of trip. Honestly, my base weight is heavier on shorter trips because I know I won't be carrying much food and I can bring more luxuries because of this.

Consider these things when prepping for a trip. Temperature and length(miles).
Your insulation and clothes will change depending on the temp and you may add more food if you are doing more miles than usual.
    A simple break down.

Just remember to include your Essential-10 as well, cause it's better to have it and not need it... http://www.rei.com/learn/expert-advi...ssentials.html
