Well my wife saw me looking at(and talking about) hammocks and surprised me with an ENO double nest hammock. It has been downhill since then. Got another hammock 2 weeks later via bartering on Craigslist. Now 1 month later, I have sewn 3 hammocks and a tarp. Excited to try all the gear on canoe trips soon. It's pretty bad that after I finished building my 2 yr old a huge swingset,I wasn't excited so much that I was done, but that the spread on the swingset was the perfect width for hanging my hammock from. Love it!

Welcome from the woods outside Westminster. Moved there from Mauldin. Funny on the swingset. You will also find yourself measuring and considering the distance between all the trees you see.
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!

Welcome to the forum, from Ohio. If anything, let your child enjoy the swing set for now and keep in mind that in a few years it'll be yours to enjoy. They grow faster than you can blink!

Yes I let her use the swing set. We just set up the hammocks when she gets tired of swinging(rare), or when she is taking a nap or whenever I can. I have even rigged one up in her room running from her headboard on her bed to the door hinge. She can get in and out of that thing like nobody's business. Lots of fun to watch and lots of fun for the future too.

Is a swingset anything like those hard bottomed hammock chair sets you see in playgrounds the ones with the funny chain suspensions?
