I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking here on and off for years actually, but recent events have actually gotten me back into camping, and it was a short hop from that into hanging.

I'm a lapsed backpacker/camper/hiker/Boy Scout who has been out of the scene for about 20 years. Now that my son has been introduced to the BSA, I've been roped back into camping. I broke out all my old 1980s era gear, and got newer stuff for my son and we've been hitting the woods. I quickly decided me and the ground aren't the greatest of friends any longer.

Two tablecloth blanks later, and instructions from here had me hanging last weekend on our last BSA overnight campout. I had zero problems staying comfy down into the high 30s with the info I absorbed from all you guys.

Thanks for all the good info. I'm already planning some new DIY projects to expand my hanging capacity and comfort.
