Failed Projects - What do you do?

<knock wood> I haven't had a project go horribly wrong . . . Yet, but wonder what you all do when it goes pear shaped? Do you recover the down, make smaller projects with pieces of the fabric, hide it in the bottom of the closet and deny it ever existed?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I've failed more than I've succeeded with DIY. Repurpose, cut up, make stuff sacks. And then keep doing it.

Scavenge parts. I just salvaged my failed cuben fiber hammock to make a poncho/ground cover/hammock cover.

I've got a huge pile of failed projects on the basement floor. As soon as I run out of new materials, I will dive in and scavenge what I can from the pile.

+1 to that sentiment. I have more than a few "bad starts to a new project" in the garage and attic. Just learn a lesson and try to apply it to the next phase.
