I'm shopping for a UQ for a Safari bottom entry. I emailed the Jack's about using the Nest, and they said it should work. Does anyone have experience with this or any other recommendations? I'm a little concerned about the overall width...

I don't think the width will give you a problem, except regarding the side tie outs, which you don't really have to used with the UQ. I can't speak for the Nest, but I have had both a JRB MW4 and a WB Yeti on the Safari ( my No Net model) with no problems. The quilt does not have to cover the wide hammock, it just has to cover you. You will sink down into both the quilt and the hammock. The only thing you will probably have to deal with is rigging up some cordage to lengthen the suspension. The hammock is a bit long for most stock suspension.
Talk to the Jacks about what their return policy is if you can't make it fit to suit you.
Thanks for the insight. The suspension should be no problem to rig. I'm just a little scared to spend that kind of money not knowing for sure. This is my first uq, btw.
