    Jumping in with 8 feet

I am new here... all you need to know about me is that I am either very persuasive, or my wife is very like-minded and cool.

I've been lurking here - and I've been reading up (Hi, Shug! Nice vids). I had my eye on a WBBB - my wife noticed. So she just now ordered 4 of them (us and the kids), 3 (or 4 - can't remember) top quilts, 1 under quilt (because she knows I'm going to be in it in every season), and 4 tarps.

I've NEVER hammocked before but I KNOW it will be much better than tents. I hate sleeping on the ground.

I'm hoping as well that I'm supporting some sort of cottage industry.

So.... Hi. I'll be hanging around.

What a partner!!! Have fun, set up and play in the yard before venturing out. Should be a great time. Welcome.

She really does. Not for the hammocks... just amazing in so many ways. I always wish I could have seen her/met her when we were both little kids. It's that "soul-mate" thing we have going on... I couldn't even begin to explain how/why as words are insufficient. But I'll save my interpretive dance for another time.

Unless you have a batch of trees in the yard you better make 4 turtledog stands so everyone gets a chance to be outside together with the new gear.

It really is great having a partner that enjoys the same hobbies

    Congratulations and welcome

Terrific way to get the whole family started. Lucky guy.
Another thing I would suggest is reading up thouroghly about hang angles and making your hammock comfortable, then test everything out yourself before the wife and kids try them out. Sure wouldn't want them to have a rough first night and get discouraged right off the bat.
