    What is this? (unknown cordage)

I received this package during the raffle at MAHHA a couple of weeks ago. It looks nice, but I have no idea what this line is made of, how strong it is, or what it is meant to be used for.

Do you know what it is?

The number of strands (6) and length of each (9 ft.) suggests that these are meant for tarp lines, but I may be missing the true intent here. Any ideas about what this is and how I should use it are welcome!

My guess is Kelty Triptease. If it glows at night (or in a dark room) when you hit with a flashlight beam, you got some good stuff. It'll work good as guylines...they will glow and help you find your camp at the next group hang.

It looks like its from JRB, they use it for the self tensioning lines. From the JRB site "Nine foot tarp lines of our high visibility two mil un-rated nylon cord".

Possibly spyderline. What is the diameter? Does it have a core?

It's got a core, and since Pan was actually administering the raffle - with a ton of JRB stuff on the table- I think Stack and Fronkey may have nailed it. Thanks for having a look guys!
