Well, lemme tell ya, I have a WL Tadpole, when I was hanging in a big ole 11' gathered end job, I always felt the coverage might not be enough, using the popular formulas for a ridgeline length. So I have always thought about the need to replace it. Through all my research, I have decided on the Superfly. However, now that I am hanging in the WBBB with its fixed 100" ridgleine I feel like the tadpole is PLENTY big enough. I get almost 16" of coverage on each end now. I have not been in any harsh weather with this set up yet but I am very optimistic. I may still end up replacing my Tadpole, but it is gonna be for the brown, only because I don't care for the green over my multicam WBBB.

I am not a super cold weather camper, I live in Louisiana. So keep the Tadpole in mind for your ENO as it is a shorter hammock.

I went with a Superfly because I wanted doors and pullouts since I knew I wanted to eventually go winter camping and knew that, for that, I'd want those features. Rather than buy a "3-season" tarp and then buy another tarp for winter (since funds are tight), I figured it'd be better to buy a tarp, off the bat, that could handle anything I threw at it, and THEN I could work on specializing my setup (getting a smaller, door-less tarp for summer). Just seemed the right approach to me with my circumstances.

I will say that once I had the Superfly, Warbonnet earned my loyalty. I was blown away by the quality and strength of the build from the get-go, but once I met Brandon at the fall hang last month and he showed me just how tight I should be cranking that thing down, I realized it's built like a freaking tank, in a surprisingly small and light package, considering what it is and the versatility it affords. I never regretted or doubted that purchase for a second.

JRB makes a 10x11 rectangular tarp that would be very versatile. Underground Quilts now makes the Winter Dream tarp and that thing has awesome coverage.
    Good luck,

Wilderness Logic Big Daddy. Needed the length for my 11 ft BIAS, plus it was on sale for a very good price. $$$ talks. Really like the tarp, but will be going to a Super Fly as soon as funds justify the move.

Winter Dream 12 from UGQ. Packs up small and fairly light for its size and coverage. Handles wind driven, nearly horizontal rain very well when the wind shifts and its coming towards the end. And more than roomy enough for the ogres in Irmo.

    I love tarps okay.
Spinntex asym diamond (minimal coverage for fairweather weekends: 5 oz rigged)
Cuben Hex tarp from Z-packs (good coverage: 7.5 oz full rigged, but can be made lighter too).
Cuben tarp with doors from Z-pacs (great coverage: 9.5 oz rigged)
WB - Superfly: (Huge!: current weight is 23 oz fully rigged including shock cord at the doors; this is a great tarp for evil weather)
Campmor 8x10 silnylon tarp; an oldie but a goodie; I have had this tarp for many years both for ground sleeping and as my 1st tarp for a hammock, rigged up it weighs 1 pound.
