    Somewhat patiently awaiting my order...
It should arrive Saturday, just in time to wash, dry and test out. I chose the 90x156 monster in apple green.
There are very few problems we can solve ourselves, but there is almost nothing we cannot solve together.

Most often when someone says they can't, they are unwilling to try.

Just a heads-up: the burgundy tablecloths are more like fuchsia/purple.

Made 5 tablecloth hammocks for the kids.
    Had a relative sew channels.
Ordered amsteel and straps from Dutch.
Bought 2 colored pkgs of 6 carabiners locally.
Made a bunch of 10 inch continuous loops.
Had knot class with the kids - marlin spike hitch using the carabiner, lark's head, beckett hitch...
Then, Saturday, we had hanging class at the park. They had a blast. Now they have friends that want one.

What's the weight of that taffeta fabric from Tablecloths Factory? Is it about 4oz/square yard?

This type of suspension will cause alot of damage to the tree and I discourage anyone from using line to hang the hammock. 1-2" polyester webbing is best. It will also not stretch the way that paracord does.

It really looks comfy. I made one from a 132 x 90 polyester tablecloth which turned out well, but the crinkle taffeta looks much softer. For the money, I'm so impressed with tablecloths. They rock. Love the shock cord mod. I'm going play with that. I used the extra material to make storage sleeves on both sides of mine.

I don't have an accurate scale but the fabric is pretty heavy compared to ripstop.
